Description of the issue: brave browser crashing my windows 10 OS
Not sure as for me started from last 4 months

  1. My windows 10 os crashes and goes to the blue screen of death randomly while using brave browser.The os crashed 4-5 times for 12 hrs uses in a day. There was no fixed time after the usages when it will crash.
  2. I did not know what was the cause for the last 3-4 months
  3. Then I stopped using brave and now no more crashing of windows and this means brave browser was the culprit.

Expected result: blue screen of death

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.17.73 Chromium: 87.0.4280.67 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Hello
What kind of error did you receive on the Blue Screen? Or there are more than only one code error?
I had this issue when watching YouTube in fullscreen, and unchecking that hardware acceleration in Settings -> Advanced -> System solved this…You might try (is the second thing…sorry but my language in my browser is not english

its happening even while i am not watching youtube…blue screen error code says ‘DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION’

Ok…but did you tried to disable hardware acceleration?
And that BSOD still appears?

I had this happen in Windows 10 the other day too. I noticed in Task Manager that Brave was using huge amounts of memory, like 4GB. I went to Brave hamburger menu > More tools > Task manager, and the Brave Rewards task was using the most memory, so I killed that task. The memory use came way down and no crashing. Obviously a bug.
