Brave asking for username and password instead of Windows Hello

Description of the issue: I have recently set my PC up to automatically sign-in to Windows instead of having to type in my PIN/password. However, when I made this change, it also changed the way Brave asks for authentication in the password manager. Brave used to ask me for my PIN, now it asks for a username and password. Now, I can still use my PIN or password if I press the “More choices” button, but my PIN isn’t the default option anymore. I tested this with the Xbox App (it also asks for your PIN or password when signing into a new account), but it just asks for my PIN like it normally does. Is there any way I can have my PIN be the default option in Brave? I’ve tried to find any information on this, but it seems like my circumstance is unique.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Go to brave://password-manager or access it through settings.
  2. Open any passwords list for a specific site within the password manager. Brave should give you a Windows Security prompt which looks similar to the one I provided in the screenshot I attached.

Expected result: Brave prompts the user to use Windows Hello to access the password manager.
