Bookmarks menu keeps closing on its own

Description of the issue:
When I click the bookmarks from the Bookmarks bar, the menu automatically closes after varying periods of time.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

  1. Make sure the Bookmarks bar is displayed
  2. Click a folder
  3. Drill down to a sub folder
    Note: I have Sync enabled.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
The bookmarks menu automatically closes after varying periods of time. Sometimes almost as soon as I open the folder, sometimes just before I get to the bookmark. Super annoying.

Expected result:
The bookmark bar menu should remain open until I select the bookmark.

Reproduces how often:
Every time - started a couple of days ago.

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Windows 10
Version 0.68.140 Chromium: 77.0.3865.90 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Iā€™m experiencing the same issue.
Menu closes on its own at varying intervals from couple of secs to 10 secs.

MacOS 10.14.6
Version 0.68.141 Chromium: 77.0.3865.90 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Not sure if this is related but typing also freezes every few secs (like writing the comment here or in Gmail)
