Hi,
the battery usage of the Brave browser with Android 14 (Samsung S23+) is insane. 2x to 3x more than the regular Chrome browser (and Chrome also is not known for friendly resource usage). I mean 10 to 14% battery usage per hour ist ridiculous (Browser on Screen/active display).
Is there a way to optimize that? I don’t think I am the only person that has that problems.

Don’t know if you still have this issue, but I recently got a Galaxy S24 and am experiencing the same. The battery drain is insane. Even when I leave phone overnight, the battery drains 20-25%.
What I discovered though is that turning off “Automatically send daily usage ping to Brave” will resolve the issue.
So find the switch under Settings > Privacy and Security > “Automatically send daily usage ping to Brave” and then turn it off.
This might be an important feature for Brave, but unfortunately will need to be turned off until the issue is fixed.
