Android Brave Widget autofill broken

I posted this on reddit with solid enough details. I will link below.
In short autofill using braves widget works half of the time and is very replicable.
I use a Samsung S21 Ultra on Android version 14 using One UI Version 6.1, and brave version 1.69.164.

Its not an app breaking issue just mad annoying to deal with. This started maybe a month and a half ago ish. When I tap on the widget and start typing nothing shows up for autofill. Honestly underestimated how much I use this function till it stopped working. Here I search for hello and nothing shows up. I home button and retap the search bar and enter hello autofill starts working again. Solid 45% chance it doesn’t work. Any ideas? I uninstalled brave already didn’t work.

Ah, issue is the Reddit you posted to isn’t operated by Brave. If you had looked, it’s just operated by some random person. So getting help from there is unlikely. Official subreddits are https://www.reddit.com/r/brave_browser/ and then for BAT and all, https://www.reddit.com/r/BATProject/

Second thing to ask is if you open Brave and go to Settings → Search Engines do you have Show browser suggestions turned on?

I cross posted it to that sub as well believe you me lol. Yes I do have that enabled. I did not have the “Improve search suggestions” enabled which I just turned on. Will update later if that made any difference.
