Description of the issue: Changing the setting for “enable bottom toolbar” does not work on the mobile app. My device is Android 14 (UP1A.231105.001, November 5th 2023 security update version) on a Google Pixel 4a 5g.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Toggle the “Enable bottom toolbar” setting in the app’s appearence settings.
Restart the app.
Observe that the tooobar does not move to the bottom like it should.
Expected result: Toolbar should move to the bottom.

I see no one has replied, and tatthis thread will likely be closed in 30 days with no fix. Pretty dissapointing for a for-profit company. Mobile browsers need more market competiion.
I am using Android 14. I use bottom tool bar. Can you post your screenshot?
Brave’s bottom tool bar contains only these: home icon, bookmark icon, search icon, tab numbers, three dots.
The address bar still stays top.
Are you referring to address bar? That always stays top.
Hello, I actually realized that I was confused about what “toolbar” meant. I thought it meant the search bar where you enter urls. I didn’t realize it was just the settings and bookmark etc tools that moved to the bottom. I was expecting the search bar to go to the bottom like Safari and Firefox do.
Firefox has address bar at bottom. In brave it stays top. I guess as per appearance brave inherit features from chromium. Then add its filters on top of it to make it more private. You can add this as a feature request if you wish.
