Ads appearing on Slate.com. 1st party ad?

Description of the issue: Ads appearing with default Shields enabled (I don’t use Brave Rewards). I assume this is a 1st Party ad (i.e. cloaked CNAME)

Exact URL of the website in question: https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2020/03/democratic-primary-from-the-most-diverse-field-in-history-to-probably-joe-biden.html

Screenshot of the ad as it appears in Brave

**
Did the issue present with [default Shields settings]? Yes

Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off? N/A

Is there a specific Shields configuration that causes the site to break? If so, tell us that configuration.: N/A

Does the site work as expected when using Chrome?: N/A

Brave version: 1.4.95

Any timeframe for 1st party ads/trackers?

I’m not seeing any ads here, (with shields on, site-trackers enabled). Does it show any blocked items in site-trackers? I have around 22 items showing as blocked.

Could you test in Brave Nightly? https://brave.com/download-nightly/

We have made more improvements in Nightly ^

Very strange. Did you clik on an article? I just went there and now I’m not seeing them, like they’re using AI. :thinking:They were banner adds that would change slowly over time.

I used to use Dev channel but I’ll give Nightly a try since adblocking is an area I’m interested in. ^^

I downloaded Brave Nightly and no ads on Slate.com in either this version or release version.

Right-click Brave>option in Nightly “block element via selector” dialogue box was not opening on a couple of sites. Restarting Nightly seems to have fixed it.
