It appear on top of the mail list:

That’s because Brave not block 1st party ads. https://brave.com/faq#search-engines

You can use Brave’s element blocker to block those ads. More https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018039072-How-do-I-block-additional-page-elements-
