Add Open, Save as option for each download

This is a feature asked by all Microsoft users who have used Internet Explorer in the past. It exists in Firefox and now it is also available in Chromium based Edge, due to users’ requests. The reason for this is that we usually want to open a file only once, so we prefer the Open option instead of Save, which downloads all these files in a temporary folder and doesn’t clutter our Downloads folder. Moreover, the temp folder is cleaned up automatically by the system, so we don’t need to bother maintaining any folder.

So, is there a way to Open a file instead of download?

Hi, I’d just like to add my +1 to this issue.
There are loads of requests for this very thing in many threads in the Brave Community, but I’ve not been able to discover any options / workarounds etc. to make this possible. Also, there doesn’t seem to be any reply from Brave to explain why it can’t be done.
This will be a deal breaker for me, and I’m sure it is / will be for many other potential users too.
C’mon Brave, fix it or at least tell us why you can’t or won’t.

Oh well, no support offered - I’m away back to Firefox / Pale Moon…

@SplittingDis

Download the file once. In the downloads bard click the up arrow and check “Always open files of this type”.

Next time it will open them.
