Files downloading as temporary files

Description of the issue:
I’m in Windows 11 Pro. When I try to download any file it starts downloading a tmp file and the prompt to select which folder to download doesn’t show up until 30 or so seconds later. This didn’t happen until two days ago and I’ve been using Brave since last year.
Also I’ve tried Firefox and Chrome and it works fine there.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Downloading any file by right click > save picture, for example

Expected result:
Opening the “which folder to save as” inmediately after clicking download in any file.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Versión 1.69.168 Chromium: 128.0.6613.138 (Build oficial) (64 bits)

Thank you for reaching out.
Can you please try opening a Guest profile (Menu —> More tools --> Guest profile), closing you original profile window, then try saving an image using the Guest profile window and tell me if you get the same results?

It works fine using the Guest profile.

I thought as much. Do you have any extensions installed in the browser at this time? If so, can you please try disabling them temporarily and test to see if one of them is causing the issue with the browser downloading files?

Oh thank you, it was an extension.
Pixiv Toolkit Next, if anyone has the same problem.

It’s solved now.
