Thought so, @Vola_073. This is something that has been happening with some people on occasion and the dev team is investigating. It seems that whatever is happening might be from upstream. I know @szilardszaloki has been collecting logs. I just tagged him in and he may follow up with you. But what I’d like to ask you to do in the interim is to try to get some logs ready. Instructions on how to do so would be:
Windows: start Brave (not as admin) from Command Prompt via "C:/Program Files/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/Application/brave.exe" --args --enable-logging --v=1 and then share with me the resulting chrome_debug.log from %localappdata%/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/User Data
They also are generally asking:
Also, could you let me know if you’ve launched Brave as admin before, and if so, why it was necessary?
Yeah I have launched it as administrator many times and I do run my main windows profile on admin account.
And if I understand correctly you want me to not be logged in as admin and then launch cmd and run the command correct?
Does the problem still occur when you’re using the VPN extension? If it does, let me know, and I can help look for a solution. It could be something related to the VPN extension. Try removing it or adjusting some settings in Brave’s settings menu. It’s possible that the VPN extension might be causing conflicts in ad blocker.
I mostly use touch vpn extension and it never cause any problem for me. but let me know
