Ability to make your own keyboard shortcuts

I moved to brave not long ago and it’s hard for me to get used to all the new shortcuts Chrome users instead of what Firefox uses e.g ctrl+shift+p (for opening private browser). Great new feature would be the ability to make your own/customise keyboard shortcuts or be able to switch over to the same keyboard shortcuts Firefox utilizes/or to fit the end-user preference. Also ctrl + Q does not work to close the browser on Brave browser which is really annoying!

Hey brad6, great suggestions here  Will pass it along to the team!

CTRL+Q definitely should close the browser. The application might require focus to do so (click on an open Brave window first then try the shortcut).

You don’t need ctrl + q to close the browser, that’s actually really bad and super annoying because it’s right next to ctrl + w for closing individual tabs. Nobody wants to reload all their tabs again. Plus we already have a high priority system wide function for closing windows altogether called alt + f4.

Ctl + B or something like it would be great for bookmarking items

Please allow us to define new keyboard combinations or redefine existing keyboard shortcuts so we can get them to just how we like them. Also add the ability to back these customizations so they can be easily exported to a different profile or different computer or just saved so we can go back to a previous version if something messes up.
