Youtube not storing login details while every other site does

Description of the issue:
When i log into youtube on brave browser it makes me fully re-log in, then after closing the window and reopening it i have to relog in like i never did in the first place.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. log into youtube
  2. close window

Expected result:
I open youtube and its logged in

Brave Version( check About Brave):
v1.78.102

Additional Information:
this only applies to the youtube website and never hapens on bing or chrome on the same computer.

@Shindle check and ensure that:

  • You do not have your Shields settings for Youtube (lion icon in the address bar) set to Block all cookies
  • You do not have your Shields settings for Youtube set to Forget me when I close this site (this should be toggled “off”)
  • Visit brave://settings/content/siteData and scroll to the bottom and ensure that Youtube is not listed as one of the sites under the Not allowed to save data on your device
