When Will I not have to login to YouTube everytime I open the browser Window?

For some reason, who knows why, I no longer stay logged into YouTube. I have to login every time I open a browser.

This happens all the time after the browser is closed.

My OS is Win 11 and Brave Version v1.76.81 (Mar 20, 2025)

I would like this extremely irritating behaviour to end ASAP please.

@VacuBlaster have you made sure of:

  • That you don’t have Forget me when I close this site enabled in Shields? Two places to look on this.

    1. The site specific Shields image icon when you’re on YouTube.

  • Under Delete browsing data you do not have anything enabled under the On Exit tab:

Also have to ask.

  1. Does this only happen on YouTube or do you have issues on other websites?
  2. Will it happen immediately upon closing the browser?
  3. Do you have any apps/programs like CCleaner, Avast Cleaner, or anything else that you use to try to make your device faster or free up space?
  4. Do you use any extensions? If so, which ones?

I have also been facing the same issue, even my google accounts logs out completely after a day. This has nothing to do with these settings, it started occuring after some recent updates. I’m on linux mint

It might be this was all, it was. Thing is though, I never adjust these settings and it used to work fine so what has adjusted the setting, an update?
