Youtube continues playing for several seconds before pausing/lags when unpausing

Youtube videos continue playing 2-3 seconds after pause is initiated either by click or by space-bar.

This has been reproduced on my system, every day, for over a week. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling brave.

  1. Checked for latest version of Brave, confirmed was running most current release version.
  2. Tried turning off shields/ad blockers/ extra extensions
  3. Uninstalled/reinstalled Brave browser and rebooted PC.

Results: Still takes 2-3 seconds to pause/unpause, every time, on any video, in Brave browser; This does not appear to happen in Edge or Chrome.

Can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue?

You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration
