I am having trouble with Brave Search. If the prompt is moderately long, I don’t get any results, just the following message: ‘Your query is too long:’ followed by the prompt I submitted. After that, I receive a suggestion to reduce my prompt.
Other web browsers process the same prompt without any issues. This always happens when I search for terminal errors, which is very practical since copying the error helps find others with similar issues.
I never had this issue before in Brave; it’s something relatively new. Maybe it started after a recent update, but I don’t remember exactly.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Brave Version 1.75.178 Chromium: 133.0.6943.98 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS.
Here is an example of the prompt: “The following packages are incompatible ├─ jupyter =* * is installable with the potential options │ ├─ jupyter 1.0.0 would require │ │ └─ python >=2.7,<2.8.0a0 *, which can be installed; │ ├─ jupyter [1.0.0|1.1.1] would require │ │ └─ python >=3.10,<3.11.0a0 *, which can be installed; │ ├─ jupyter [1.0.0|1.1.1] would require │ │ └─ python >=3.11,<3.12.0a0 *, which can be installed; │ ├─ jupyter [1.0.0|1.1.1] would require │ │ └─ python >=3.12,<3.13.0a0 *, which can be installed; │ ├─ jupyter 1.0.0 would require │ │ └─ python >=3.5,<3.6.0a0 *, which can be installed; │ ├─ jupyter 1.0.0 would require │ │ └─ python >=3.6,<3.7.0a0 *, which can be installed; │ ├─ jupyter 1.0.0 would require │ │ └─ python >=3.7,<3.8.0a0 *, which can be installed; │ ├─ jupyter 1.0.0 would require │ │ └─ python >=3.8,<3.9.0a0 , which can be installed; │ └─ jupyter [1.0.0|1.1.1] would require │ └─ python >=3.9,<3.10.0a0 , which can be installed; └─ pin on python 3.13. = * is not installable because it requires └─ python =3.13 *, which conflicts with any installable versions previously reported. It has 1,169 characters, but I am quite sure that I encounter this issue even with shorter prompts."
