Why I don't like using the Brave browser although I like it

Dear Brave Team,

just to let you know:

I would really like to use the Brave browser on Android instead of my Opera browser - for the obvious privacy reason. But in everyday use, there are three simple reasons why using Brave instead of Opera is much less convenient for me:

  1. Brave lacks what Opera calls “speed dials”, i.e. sortable and editable links on the home page to websites the user has saved.

  2. No quickly switchable “night mode” as in Opera. Brave requires the user to dig in the preferences and restart the browser.

  3. Brave’s home button is in the bottom left corner. I can’t reach it with my right thumb. I have to use my left hand.

That’s it. But perhaps I am not the only user who misses these everyday usability conveniences in Brave.

One more thing: If Brave VPN was as affordable as other VPN providers, I would use Brave VPN.

Best regards from Germany

  1. You may edit flags and Brave will follow system theme itself+websites, you will not need to restart browser for dark/light websites, there also will be a toggle in menu when browser has dark theme
chrome://flags/#brave-dark-mode-block DISABLED
chrome://flags/#darken-websites-checkbox-in-themes-setting ENABLED
chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark DISABLED
