Why does the Brave Community search tool use Google?

I’m looking at things on Brave Community and find it searches with Google. My search engine choice is NOT Google and if Brave itself is geared toward privacy/security/mind your own business …?

I think it’s when there is no topic match.
I was looking for help on creating a separate profile and also a desktop link (in Linux. Brave is happy to create a shortcut to a particular profile -no I don’t have the answer yet).
I just found it odd that without a topic match, I ended up with a Google search.
