On the following Vox sites, ads themselves are blocked but for the past few weeks, they are replaced by large ad-block-block messages. The banners take up nearly half the screen and only load after a few seconds, which makes the rest of the page content jump down.

Thanks for the report, have rolled out a fix. It may not collapse the blank space left over (on mobile), but it should look better without the warning showing.
