Tab groups or tab grouping stopped working, now it’s just a list of all open tabs.
I didn’t find the option (Enable Tab Groups) in Appearance settings.
Go to settings → Accessibility → enable ‘Simplified view for Open tabs’.
If you don’t see this option then I am not sure how we can bring back tab groups. I had this option earlier, but after an update it is no longer there.
Brave Support said that it appears only if we have some Accessibility feature on.
