I am new to Brave. Like it a lot.
I notice that icons (links) appear on my home page. I know I can remove them by clicking on the “pencil” image, but is there a way to instruct Brave to stop putting those icons on my home page on its own initiative. That is, I would like to decide what icons (if any) to place on my home page. Thank you for a nice product.

On the New Tab Page, you’ll want to click on the “three dots icon” and change the widget to Show Favorites — these are site icons that you can manually add to the NTP homepage but won’t be added automatically as the top-sites/favorites are:
