I find the saved tab group feature quite neat but i’ve always wondered why those saved groups aren’t actually bookmark folders behind simply saving/erasing/displacing bookmarks automatically to mirror a tab group.
I’ve started a new sync chain some days ago and i’ve been quite frustrated with the fact deleting the old chain erased any trace of those shared tab groups on any of device. I should have thought about it and saved those groups as bookmarks before deleting the chain and will next time, but that could have been avoided would those groups work that way, or have an option to which i would have checked.
It would also compensate for the fact shared tab groups doesn’t work on mobile and curently aren’t shared at all with mobile devices which kinds of ruins the whole thing honestly. Having a bookmark folder behind it i’d still be able to easily open it the good old way on my phone while on the toilet, even if the neat browser sync feature wouldn’t work as is it would still be better then nothing.
