Rewards internals - Logs


**Description of the issue: Found these items in my Rewards Internals : Logs **
**How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. By looking at logs under brave://rewards-internals/**

**Expected result: Expected the logs to be empty or entries that did not include the word “failed” **

Brave Version( check About Brave): Version 1.73.104 Chromium: 131.0.6778.204 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Wrong expectations. Well, in terms of it being empty. There will always be a lot of entries under the logs as it’s tracking a lot of details about what’s going on. Such as maybe it’s trying to serve you an ad but it’s checking to see if you have the “token” generated to be able to see the ad. The reference there is that we’re limited to certain amount of ads per hour or per day, so it’s checking it if can. But then each ad campaign also has view limits. But there are tons of little things like that which go under the logs.

Now, more important thing, are you having any issues with your Rewards? I mean, what’s the story on yours? Are you connected to a custodial account? Seeing ads? Receive payments? So many questions to ask.

As to what entry means, I couldn’t tell you. Only people from Brave know. I agree that entries like Failed to build reward is one I haven’t seen. But again, I’m at a loss until I know more about your situation.

Thanks for your help and reply. I had just installed Brave Browser this morning after being off the platform for more than a month, having uninstalled & completely removed Brave on Nov 15. Last received BATs on Dec 6 which were for the first half of Nov.

Have some newer entries in my Rewards internals Logs which appear to be more like what you’ve seen.

@KentTeague2 if you go to brave://rewards can you try to Reset and then activate it again and see if any issues?

Just completed the reset and go only one entry in the log

Which is a normal one. Overall I’d advise you not to pay any attention to the internals logs. If you’re seeing ads and getting payments, then should be fine. If you have issues with those, then often just have to submit a ticket so those at Brave can take a look.

The internals pages often can seem like things are bad even when they aren’t
