it actually feature removal
brave on snap make many issue and just install brave using the command line fix it so in my humble opinion remove brave from snap or at least do not make it official supported would fix many issue for linux user who use ubuntu based distro
snap has many bugs and issue and ofcourse maybe some issue related to the brave it self
i agree that snap make it easier for user to install any app but it come with many issue you could check how many post fixed just by install brave using the normal command line
