When using the Flashcard feature of Quizlet, Shields used to semi-block the pop-up ads in between flashcards, with a white screen over the spot where the ad should be. This was not an issue as it could be immediately skipped.
However, as of today when there is an ad pop-up between flashcards, the white screen is present but the page becomes unresponsible and there is no way to skip the ad, or even continue.

I tried clearing all website data for https://quizlet.com/, and it seemed to fix the issue, where now the site acts as it did originally, like your ss.
I wonder what part of the website data was causing this issue?
EasyList Cookie and Fanboy’s Mobile Notifcations were enabled in shields, which I think were enabled by default.
The issue seems to have arisen again. When using the Flashcard feature, the page will eventually become unresponsive, now with no white screen. For me it frequently occurs at the 16th flashcard, which I’m assuming is the point where the site gives you an ad.
Another factor I’ve noticed is that whenever it freezes, the flashcard shifts either left or right, which I assume is because the site is trying to accommodate a new banner ad.
Issue was present with default shield settings, as well as with aggressive ad blocking
