MacOS 10.15.5 - How to receive ads when in Fullscreen Mode

Hello,
Just as a preface I wanted to say that I’ve been using Brave since early in 2019 but on Windows.

Is there a way to allow ads to be shown while in fullscreen mode on macOS catalina version 10.15.5?
Just now got my macbook and it would seem as though ads only come through while in windowed mode but I much prefer full screen. An answer would be much appreciated, thank you.
