Leo AI removal from android browser app

How do I completely remove Leo AI from the brave app on android?
Do not want it or to see it at all complete removal. You should ask if people want intrusive Spyware on their devices before installing it.

Using an old version of the app could remove Leo, but I wouldn’t recommend running an old browser(security issues, bugs … ). You can disable Leo from the autocomplete on the Desktop and Mobile, but I don’t see a way to remove the Leo option on Android.

Another wrongfully-closed topic…

This doesn’t completely answer your question, as Leo is built into the app, so you can’t selectively remove it without downgrading to an old version of Brave, but this will keep you from accidentally clicking the “Ask Leo” (or whatever it says) that shows up when you type in the address bar:

Go to the menu (three vertical dots icon) > Settings > Leo > Show autocomplete suggestions in address bar. Disable this setting. Leo will still be in your menu, but you won’t accidentally send your search queries to Leo like I’ve done multiple times.

Hope this helps!

I find it completely unacceptable that there is no disable button for a built-in AI, for a browser that claims to provide privacy.

It makes me question the motives of the Brave company. This is the epitome of poor design decisions and is most likely an anti-privacy business decision (like earning rewards in a privacy-based browser).

Would you please tell us how to disable Leo on our laptops/desktops? I can’t find any way to do it. Granted, I’m not a techie, but surely this has to be something any one can do.
