Feedback about the lack of some configuration options (or perhaps a problem?) in Leo AI.
I only use Linux. I tested on three distros (Fedora 40, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and Ubuntu 24.10) and Brave versions v1.71.123, 118 and 114, including using different profiles.
My system is configured for the Portuguese language (Brazil) and most of the sites I use are EN or PT/BR.
When I ask any question in any AI language model, using the Portuguese, it answers in spanish, sometimes italian and french. It hardly answers in Portuguese.
When asked in English, it answers in English.
If your question is asked in Portuguese, but the browser and system are in English, the answer will be in English.
I don’t know if there’s anything to do with these scenarios or if it simply can’t recognise the language correctly and answers in another because there are some similar words.
The language model understands correctly and delivers the expected response (I haven’t used Leo AI that much yet, but I know the language models of other solutions).
I don’t know if it’s a bug or an opportunity to configure a language as the default.
Perhaps such a scenario occurs with other languages too.
This is a strange thing, it impacts on the user experience, and for people who don’t speak English as a second language this is an impediment to adopting Leo AI and migrating fully to Brave.
