Keywords everywhere extension not working?

Downloaded the Keywords Everywhere extension but it’s not working for search. Works on YouTube though.

So far have tried, reinstalling the extension, generating a new API key, updating the browser, messing with settings, disabling ad blocker, and enabling cookies on all websites.

It works flawlessly on the Google browser. I messaged their support and they said "We officially support Chrome, Firefox, and Edge only. " But it should work on Brave right? After all, both are built on Chromium.

Has anyone found a fix for this?
