Keep or Remove brave-rewards-verification.txt After Verification?

Once we’ve installed the brave-rewards-verification.txt file on the web server, and it has been verified and our site shows up as a Brave Verified Publisher in Brave, what is the recommendation for the brave-rewards-verification.txt file? Should we leave it in place at /.well-known/brave-rewards-verification.txt and add it to version control, or can it be removed since verification is complete?

Please provide a brief explanation either way.

Hi @mkuehn,

You can remove the Wordpress plugin, .txt file, and/or DNS records (depending on which verification method you used) after you’ve successfully verified your site via Rewards. :slightly_smiling_face:
