Hyperlinks don't open in Brave, they open in Safari

Brave: Version 1.42.88 Chromium: 104.0.5112.81 (Official Build) (x86_64)
iOs: macOS Big Sur Version 11.6.7
Problem: Hyperlinks open in Safari, not Brave

I have this issue constantly with Brave but I usually find that when I check the Brave status I’m asked to complete the upgrade and the links open properly. With this latest Brave update any external hyperlinks open in Safari not Brave … and yes, Brave is set as my default Browser.

Any ideas what I should do?

Thank you for reaching out. Can you please confirm whether or not this issue is occurring on your iPhone or your macOS system (I’m assuming macOS)?

You’re correct, macOS - Big Sur Version 11.6.7 – MacBook Pro.

Thank you for confirming. Can you please try simply removing Brave as your default browser, then re-adding it and testing again?

No luck ….

I changed my default browser to Firefox and the Firefox browser launched. I changed the default to Chrome and Chrome launched …. I changed the default back to Brave and the Safari browser launches.

I just updated with a new build, Version 1.42.95 Chromium: 104.0.5112.81 (Official Build) (x86_64), and the hyperlinks now open in Brave … Thanks!!
