How to disable tab previews on long press?

Brave on iOS does this annoying thing where it shows a preview of every hyperlink that I long press toward opening the link in a new tab. I do not want these previews to display. How can we disable this setting?

Google keeps talking about card over options in brave://flags or chrome://flags. Unclear if that option is relevant. In fact, that option was removed.

Brave, if you’re going to depart from the UX behavior of other browsers then at least provide an option to permanently disable it.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Long press on a hyperlink.

Expected result:

The link quietly loads in the background.

iPhone

Additional Information:

Chrome doesn’t do this. Firefox doesn’t do this. Safari doesn’t do this. Edge doesn’t do this. Desktop Brave doesn’t do this. Stop trying to invent mobile behaviors that get in the way of just browsing the Web.

Holy cow.

The option is nowhere to be seen in brave://flags.

It’s not in the normal Brave settings menu. Which fails to implement search on mobilr, by the way.

The option to turn off link previews is hidden in the long press context menu. So even users who do want the option enabled, run the risk of accidentally disabling it. Not the most intuitive configuration system.
