I am a remote worker who uses a VPN on my home computer to connect to my computer at work. I noticed that while the VPN is on, DNS queries made by the Edge browser go to my work’s DNS server, but DNS queries made by the Brave browser do not. Brave is behaving exactly as a privacy focused browser should, so great work!
But I am curious as to why Brave’s DNS’s queries behave like this. Also, Brave’s DNS queries don’t show up in Wireshark. Could someone please explain how DNS works in Brave?
