Hover and click on the buttons not working

The issue is, when I want to click any button then it is not clicking in the right place. If I click outside of that button then it is working.

I also can’t click any video slider if the video is not full screen.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open any website
  2. Try to tap to the center of any buttons on that website
  3. The button will not click smoothly

Brave Version:
Version 1.36.112 Chromium: 99.0.4844.51 (Official Build) (arm64)

Attached is video of the issue.

Anyone can help, please?

@uniqueshort45 ,

Questions

  • Computer model and OS version?

  • Are you using a mouse?

  • Do you have another mouse that you can attach?

  • What is the condition of your mouse pad?

  • What USB devices do you have attached?

  • What Bluetooth devices do you have attached?

Try to use some other, known-to-be-good mouse than what you have been using.

Please follow the steps:

In a Brave Browser > New Window, go to: brave://settings/cookies

Disable: Clear cookies and site data when you close all windows

Next, go to: brave://settings/clearBrowserData . . . and select the Clear browsing data > Basic tab.

Set ‘Time range’ to: All time. Next, Enable all 3 selections and click the Clear data button – BUT NOTE: the Clear cookies and other site data selection (when Enabled) will sign you out of most websites.

Return to: brave://settings/clearBrowserData

For the Clear browsing data > On Exit tab:

  • Disable: Passwords and other sign-in data
  • Disable: Site and Shields Settings

Click on the Save button.

In a Brave Browser > New Window, go to: brave://net-internals/#dns

and click on Clear host cache

Next, go to: brave://net-internals/#sockets

and click on both (in succession):

  • Close idle sockets
  • Flush socket pools

Exit/Quit everything and restart your computer.

Notes re what are:

DNS cache:

Socket pool:

With pooling, instead of closing a connection after it is used, we can keep it idle while it waits to handle another request. This saves the resources required to create a new connection.

Be prepared - back up your data - read the following:

https://community.brave.com/t/moving-my-brave-browser-setup-to-a-fresh-install/389229/2

Manually back up your Bookmarks - using the Brave Browser > Bookmarks Manager

As a backup method for Passwords, try

  • 1Password
  • BitWarden
  • KeePASS
  • LastPass

Update to the latest Brave Browser version - currently, it is 1.38.111 (May 2, 2022)
