Description of the issue:
In an email or some other app, when I see a link to a Google maps location (address), when I click on that link, it opens the default browser (Brave in my case) which then opens a new tab in Brave but opens a prompt that says “Allow link to switch apps?”. I click the Allow button. This opens another Brave tab and prompts the same thing. I click Allow and again it opens another new tab in Brave. This cycle repeats endlessly!! If I click Don’t Allow, it stops but the Google Maps app won’t open, either.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Open an email app on iPhone, find a message with a link to a street address in it.
- Click the link and it opens Brave (if not already open). Make sure Brave is the default browser app.
- A new Brave tab opens, but then prompts you to “Allow link to switch apps”.
- Click the Allow button. This takes you back to step 3 (it opens another new tab and prompts for Allow link to switch apps.
Expected result:
When I click the Allow link to switch apps… I expect it to open Google Maps app to the desired location!

This has been going on for some time. Honestly, does no one at Brave have an iPhone that behaves this way? It is super annoying!
