Dear Brave Team,
I would like to suggest an enhancement for the Brave Browser, specifically regarding privacy settings for the Private Mode.
Currently, at least on macOS, the privacy settings in Private Mode appear to mirror those of the regular browsing mode. For instance, if the standard privacy setting is configured to “Standard,” the same applies to Private Mode. This setup makes it less convenient to apply stricter privacy controls while using Private Mode.
It would be incredibly useful to have the ability to define separate default privacy settings for Private Mode. For example:
• In Regular Mode, the default setting could allow first-party cookies while blocking third-party cookies.
• In Private Mode, the default setting could disable all cookies automatically.
This distinction would enhance usability and make it easier to maintain stricter privacy protocols without needing to adjust settings manually each time.
I believe this feature would greatly benefit users who want finer control over their browsing experience while aligning with Brave’s mission of protecting user privacy.
Thank you for considering this suggestion, and I appreciate the fantastic work your team is doing!
Best regards,
