When I try to post or comment on https://www.michigancapitolconfidential.com/ I get a blank dialog box popping up too briefly to get any info off of it. I can’t log in to the Facebook Comments Plugin so I can’t post or reply.
It works fine under Firefox so I’m pretty sure it’s a Brave-related issue.
This seems similar to Facebook Comments Moderation Tool although although that refers to the moderation tool.

Just ensure Facebook is enabled in brave://settings/socialBlocking
I just checked https://www.michigancapitolconfidential.com/michigan-has-more-teachers-per-student-than-13-years-ago , and the one facebook comment loaded without issue
Just gave it a go and now the posts show up but I can’t reply or comment. The login dialog shows up very briefly and then disappears. Also, when I took a look at Settings → Social media blocking the switch for “Allow Facebook logins and embedded posts” has a blue circle around it. That doesn’t show up when I disable blocking of Facebook, only when I click to another tab and back to the Settings tab.
When I try to post, not reply, the text box shows up with a “Log In to Post” button. When I try to log in I get the same brief appearance of a log in dialog. Too brief to log in.

Open another tab, open facebook and login. The refresh the tab with the comments, and try to post
Looks like a two word reply isn’t acceptable so “no change” after trying your suggestions.
