After updating, I am unable to comment on Facebook. I can enter text, but when hitting the send button, Brave freezes.
I am able to comment if in “desktop site” is enabled.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Brave 1.80.115, Chromium 138.0.7204.97
Samsung Galaxy A70. Android version 11.
@GreyFool does disabling Shields have any impact? Does it work in private mode?
Off the top of my head, I’m betting it’s a content filter you have enabled under Shields. Like the mobile distractions one or something.
I’ve tried all the methods suggested after days of searching the net. The ONLY thing that works is to use the Desktop Mode as you suggested. I can live with that after wasting so much time trying to fix this problem.
I came here to report the same issue. It has been working for years with no issues or changes to my settings.

Had this for quite a while on android including previous versions. Get round it same way. I don’t use FB app or any extensions, its when using FBs mobile site.

I’ve had this issue for a few weeks, up until now restarting the browser would work for a little while. But as of a couple of days ago that no longer works - I type a reply to a post on Facebook, hit send and the page locks up every time (the post doesn’t send). Restarting makes no difference. As it stands, it’s impossible to reply to anything on Facebook now using Brave on Android as the page locks up every single time (resulting in me switching to Firefox, which sucks)
Shields disabled makes no difference.
Clearing caches or reinstalling, no difference.
Importantly, can confirm this happens on the current version of Chrome too (Version 138.0.7204.63), so is a bug with the core browser rather than Brave specific.
Pixel 7 Pro, Android 14, Brave Version 1.80.115.
I have the same issue. Cleared all browsing data and cookies, disabled shields and still no joy.
