Disable video autoplay?

Hello.

I have seen this asked a few times in the last few years, but not a clear answer has been provided.

Is there a setting to disable videos from autoplaying in iOS and iPadOS?

This would be extremely useful, as autoplaying videos are not only annoying, but they consume our data plan.

It was my mistake… go to settings, then to “privacy and security”, look in “additional permissions,” the menu expands down and “autoplay” is the third option there.
