Clearing cache and cookies doesn't do anything

Description of the issue:
Clearing cache and cookies in Brave v1.26.67 has no effect

  • I’m still logged into all the sites I was logged into
  • Refresh is not slowed down by having to re-load images, etc.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Log into Amazon
  2. Clear cache and cookies
  3. Return to Amazon tab
  4. Refresh

Expected result:
Amazon doesn’t recognize me because without cache and cookies, I’m logged out

Actual result:
I’m still logged in, nothing has changed.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
v1.26.67

Depends on how you’re clearing the cookies and cache.

Using brave://settings/clearBrowserData, Advanced Tab Just select Cookies/Site data then clear data. When I refresh the amazon page, I was no longer logged in.

Yep, that’s exactly what I did. Made no difference. Still logged in when I refreshed, and even when I quit/relaunched Brave.

EDIT: At the moment, I’m no longer having this problem in v1.26.74, so I guess I’ll call this solved.
