Can't select the options on the menu

Description of the issue:
When I hover on the menu and try to click on the entries, it abruptly closes and nothing happens. When I load the same website in the Firefox and Chromium, it works.

How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Go to https://libgen.is
2. Hover on the menu (I tried this on Topics)
3. Try to select any topic (click it)

Expected result:
It should handle the click event on that element inside the menu dropdown and navigate to the link specified in it.

Weird, so I kept getting all sorts of messages of it down and all, but after trying and going through various links, finally got it.

So then went to replicate what you said:

I had no issue. But then just looking closer I see you are on Brave Beta, so will test there next.

It too seemed to let me hover over the menu and select topics with no issues.

But we have two issues, which I don’t comprehend.

So our versions are different. But as you see, it tells me there’s no update to mine.

Other thing is you put Linux, I’m on Windows 11.

Anyway, all of the above said, I can’t replicate it yet. It’s currently the weekend, not sure we’ll have anyone stop by until sometime next week to be able to help.

Big thing I’d say is do the basic troubleshooting steps, which are:

1. Open in private window. Does it make a difference?

2. Disable Shields, any impact?

3. Create a new browser profile, don’t change settings or add extensions. Does it still do it?

4. Test on Brave Release or Brave Nightly and see if it also happens there.

5. Test on Chrome and/or Chrome Beta, does it happen?
