Description of the issue:
Newly installed version of Brave for MacOS will not open.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
I downloaded and installed Brave Browser for MacOS from the Brave website, opened the DMG, dragged the app to the Applications folder, tried to run it.
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
App bounces in the Dock for a few seconds and then goes still. Right-clicking it gives only the option to Force Quit.
Expected result:
App would open as apps should do.
Reproduces how often:
Every time.
I have also deleted the DMG, re-downloaded it, repeated the process, with the same result.
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
MacBook Pro 2023 14", with Apple Silicon M2 chip, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, running MacOS Sequoia 15.3.2 (latest update installed this morning).
Brave version unknown, since it won’t run, but the latest, as downloaded from brave.com.
Additional Information:
Long-term user of Brave Browser on iOS; first time user of Brave on MacOS. Mac user since the 2006 Mac Mini.
