Brave won't update on mac os

I keep getting messages to update Brave on mac os even though I d/l and install the update.
Then I get a page that says
Nearly up to date! Relaunch Brave to finish updating.
Version 0.69.135 Chromium: 77.0.3865.120 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Relaunch
Hitting the relaunch button does nothing.
Noe what?

When did you first download Brave, and did you download it from https://brave.com/?

No idea when I first got Brave.
Very likely I got it from the Brave.com site

I would recommend redownloading the installer and running that.
