Whenever clicking on PDF, DOC, or XLS file from my eMail, Brave will only give the option to save them and never open them! So frustrating. Linked files from the web will open in a new tab but I must first SAVE emailed files and them open them to view. So annoying!
I was using Firefox, which opened everything fine, until their latest update which caused many of my website to not function properly so I no longer use it to open my web based AOL eMail. (I do not use a program.) There is no setting in the AOL mail to choose what to do with files. The same file situation happens with my Yahoo email (opens a preview but not the file - it only downloads). Using my Gmail account, the files open in the browser in a pane on top of the message.
The “ASK WHERE TO SAVE EACH FILE BEFORE DOWNLOADING” setting has no bearing on this issue - the eMailed file will DOWNLOAD ONLY no matter what!
