I cant remember if i set-up a Brave wallet before, but whenever i click or open the wallet is asking me to enter a pass code, is there any way to create new one? or recover the passcode if i created one before? thanks
Hello! The password cannot be reset. You’ll need to reset the wallet and then restore it with your recovery phrase to make a new password. You can learn more here: https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/16291144373261-BIP-39-Recovery-Phrase
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks!
I don’t have recovery phrase, simply because i dint even remember activating a brave wallet, the question now is can i make new one?
@GuavaCeresa If it’s asking for a password, that means a wallet was set up at some point. If you didn’t set it up and don’t have anything saved, you can reset it by going to Settings
→ Web3
→ Reset and clear wallet data
. After that, when you open Wallet again, it’ll be like starting fresh. You can then create a new Wallet—just be sure to store the recovery phrase in a safe place, as it’s the key to accessing and restoring your wallet.
Remember, if you lose the recovery phrase, there’s no way to recover your wallet. Brave Wallet is self-custody, so Brave has no access to your wallet, recovery phrase, or the contents of Wallet, meaning it’s entirely your responsibility.
