I am trying to save settings in Brave Search but when I clear cookies at close they go back to default is there a way I can stop this please

That’s your answer. Stop clearing cookies for the site. This is how everything remembers your preferences and all. The only other option is if websites decide to force you to login and maintain your data and preferences, which then gets injected as cookies every time you log in to their website. But since Brave doesn’t use accounts where they accumulate our data and preferences, that’s not going to happen.
