Brave only works if another Chromium-based browser is open

Brave is only working on my system if I open another Chromium-based browser such as Chromium or Opera. As soon as Brave is by itself any input or loading lags by at least 5 seconds. I’ve deleted and reinstalled from several different sources but nothing changes. Searching for Chromium/Manjaro issues usually brings up “hardware acceleration” as the culprit, but in my case that doesnt seem to be the issue. Any ideas on how to solve this issue?
