Brave Browser taking up large amounts of disk space

Hello, I am running Brave Browser on my Windows 10 PC. I am using version 1.70.126 Chromium: 129.0.6668.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) and I have an issue that the Brave AppData folder takes up large amounts of space (almost 7.5 GB). This is space that I can’t spare, because my 120 GB SDD is already full.

I have been reading online and some say that simply deleting these folders will solve the issue, however, I don’t want to lose my open tabs, and most important, the extensions and their data mustn’t reset! Could someone please clarify what I should do? Why is the Brave Browser folder getting so large over time, must certainly some sort of bug?

The folder I am talking about is: C:\Users<Name>\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware

I know this has already been asked a number of times before across different communities, but I can’t seem to find a definitive answer from any Brave representative. Some people say you can just delete the folders in Explorer, some say you can delete the data through the brave settings, and some say that deleting them will cause issues and make you lose the browser data.

After clearing all browsing data/cache for all of my 8 profiles, the BraveSoftware folder now takes up 4.7 GB, which is an improvement, but still too much in my opinion. How can I free up more memory without losing my profiles and extensions?
