Brave Browser has a segmentation fault "time bomb"

Description of the issue:
A minute or so after starting Brave Browser, it crashes with a segmentation fault.
This happens whether or not I load any pages, or restore all my old pages.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Start Brave Browser
  2. Wait a minute or so
  3. Brave Browser crashes with a segmentation fault

Expected result:
Brave Browser should run without crashing

Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.45.116

Additional Information:
I’m running Brave on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. I installed and continue to update Brave using apt. My desktop environment is KDE Plasma 5.24.6 (Qt 5.15.3), running on Xorg. Brave Browser has crashed (frozen) and crashed (frozen) my window manager (kwin_x11) with it, many times over the past few months. This seems to be triggered by specific webpages. I’ve been meaning to report the problem, but I haven’t yet, because I have workarounds that keep me from losing very much.
This bug happens on both kernel versions 5.15.0 and 6.0.0.
