Brave app crashing when playing any video

  1. Description of the issue: Brave app is crashing when playing any video on any site
  2. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open app. 2. Open any video from any site.
  3. Actual Result : Brave app crashes immediately.
  4. Expected result: Video should be playing normally.
  5. Reproduces how often: Everytime
  6. Operating System and Brave Version: Android 11; Build/RKQ1.200903.002, Brave application version: Brave 1.67.123, Chromium 126.0.6478.126
  7. Additional Information: This issue seems to be only for my phone , Every other phones runs Brave fine .

Test the same video in Chrome, does it crash?
Also disable any password manager auto-fill

in brave://flags

  • disable HW Accelerated video decode (or)
  • Vulkan

Which phone is this on?

  • phone mi a3 (xiaomi)
  • even disabling the 2 settings above => still crashing
  • same video is working fine in chrome / FF
